Belgium wurde Mitte der 90er Jahre vom Mönchengladbacher Pianisten und Keyboarder Georg Sehrbrock gegründet, inspiriert von der Eigentümlichen tristes der herbstlichen belgischen Nordseeküste. 5 Alben sprechen für das musikalische Konzept songorientierter Instrumentalmusik mit Elementen aus minimal Musik, Ambient, Rock und Jazz. CD des Monats in der Keyboards und sehr positive internationale Kritiken bestätigen das Projekt.
As part of the NACHTAKTIV Festival BELGIUM played a very rare ambient show inside the st. franziskus church in mönchengladbach on the 7th of november 2009. inspired by the dimensions of the church a very special interplay between the musicians as also between the musicians and the room resulted in a rather delicate yet powerfull soundscape that vibrated nicely within the church walls. projected black and white videoloops and a soft color illumination intensified the experience. this record tries to preserve the spirit of evening for those who attended and to bring a faint idea to those who could not be there.
